Anatomy of an Engine

Anatomy of an Engine

Just like a car, house, or even our body, an engine is comprised of a group of components that work together to perform a function.  While all crankshafts do the same thing, they do not all perform the same, nor do they belong in every engine.  This holds true for all of the other parts that are assembled together to create an engine.

There are many factors that must be addressed when an engine build is started: intended use, power level, rpm range, budget, as well as others.

As all parts are not created equal, nor are all combinations.  Just because your buddy has a combination that works for him, it may not work for you.  A bunch of expensive parts that don’t make power are worth no more than the stock components they replaced.

Let our knowledge and experience add the unseen component to your next project!
